Gareth Farrelly - Midfielder
|
Farrely arrived at the first team in the summer of 1995.
He was given his debut the same year on September 20th in Villa's 6-0 trashing
of Peterborough in the Coca Cola Cup, when he was brought on for Andy Townsend.
His first full debut was on March 3rd, 1996, when Villa lost 0-3 to Liverpool
at Anfield. Since then, he wasn't seen much. The fight for appearances on the
Villa midfield was fierce, given all the other talents with more experience
on the 1st team. Farrelly and his immense talent left for Everton on a tribunal
transfer fee in July 1997.
Apperances has substitutions in brackets, i.e. the games when he came on as a sub and didn't start on the pitch. All the stats include cup games.
