Dalian Atkinson - Striker
|
Dalian played at Ipswich, Sheffield Wednesday and Real Sociadad before joining Villa for 1.6 million in 1991. A hugely talented but rather lazy player. He scored some great and very valuable goals for Villa, and played a large part in Villa's runner-up season in 1992-93. He was also the scorer of Villa's first goal, when they beat Manchester United 3-1 in the 1994 Coca Cola Cup.
He left Villa for Turkish side Fenerbahce in the summer of 1995 for a transfer fee of £1.7 million.
Apperances has substitutions in brackets, i.e. the games when he came on as a sub and didn't start on the pitch. All the stats include cup games.
