Vigilante Mission

There are two ways of doing this: by car or by Hunter (the gunship). Doing it by car has three major drawbacks: 1. The police / FBI / army can catch you much easier than they can in the air. 2. You have to follow the road at all times. 3. You need plenty of ammo if you wanna make good money on a Vigilante run. If you want to do it by car, I highly recommend going to the police station in Little Havana and get in the Cheetah that's parked around back. It's much better than a regular police car.

However, I highly recommend doing the Vigilante mission in the Hunter. For this, you'll need to pick up all 100 hidden packages or complete the "Keep your friends together" mission. Each one will give you a Hunter inside the Army Barracks (Remember that you can only enter the army barracks safely if you're in a police uniform). Completing both missions will give you a Hunter in the Army Barracks and one at the helipad at the Southern tip of Ocean Beach. The Hunter has several advantages: 1. It's much more fun to hunt criminals by helicopter. 2. Unlimited rockets and machine gun ammo. 3. Who needs roads? 4. The Hunter repairs itself 100% every time you advance a level. 5. The police / FBI / army will find it extremely difficult to catch you.

Flying the Hunter needs a lot of practice. Sorry, there's no easy way to learn. You'll soon get the hang of missiles. The machine gun, however, is auto-targeting and very handy if you got the criminals up close. However, you'll have to get close to hit anything, and the Hunter is ridiculously vulnerable to bullet weapons, so be careful! Also, try to have mission number 12 initiated inside the Airport. The thing is that all future levels (which will go on and on until you drop!) two of the three cars will start at the same place as it did in mission 12. Most of the time, the third car will self-destruct one way or the other, and inside the Airport, the police finds it hard to get in. Also, the amount of civilians you can hit inside the airport is minimal.

If your timer rounds 99 minutes and resets to zero, don't worry about the time running out on the next level. You still have the 99 minutes you earned, and the counter will go back to 99 if you let it get below zero.

Last but not least: the Vigilante mission is by far the quickest way to earn some MAJOR bucks. Level 100 will grant you half a million alone! Around level 400, you will have earned 999 million, and you can't earn any more money in the game.

Reward: After level 12, your armour can reach 150 instead of 100.
