In order to gain a little time, go to the roof and use the helicopter.
Once inside the mall, start with the Northernmost shop, the Tarbrush Café.
Use your sub-machine gun or the M4 to break the windows as quickly as
possible. You should kneel while finishing off the last two or three shops
to make yourself harder for the cops to hit. If you have trouble making
it in time, a quicker way to reload is to switch to another weapon and
then back to the machine gun.
Reward: You can now buy estate (other than safehouses) around the
city.
Never mind the two helpless henchmen. They're worthless anyway, so pick
any car you want to drive rather than the 4-seated Sentinel, which really
isn't so fast. You should pack a powerful weapon that can blow up cars
quickly for this mission. You can evade gaining the first Wanted Level
star by running the two guards over rather than pumping them full of lead.
Don't do full speed because there are trees in the way. However, this
is a good way to start off the mission. Talk to the owner and go the the
security firm. You can finish it off quickly by using a bazooka or a hand
grenade and blow up the cars in the lot. Then two motorcycles escape.
You should run them over and finish them one at a time, since the second
guy won't get far. He will stop and wait in the south end of the beach
near the lighthouse. Watch out for the oncoming armoured truck. It will
try to ram you off the road.
Start by getting into the Lamborghini (Infernus). Take the road West (not
East!), and go around the back of the police station in Little Havana.
Here you'll find a police-version of the Cheetah. Now head North and pick
the bridge in Little Haiti. Proceed past the golf club. Now start looking
for a cop or cop car. You need to waste a cop to get a Wanted Level of
two. If you can't find one, the area near the mall is crawling with cops.
Once this is done, have a police car follow you into the garage. Right
before the garage, have the chasing police car RIGHT behind you (or besides
you) and then enter the garage. This way, the pursuing police car will
not block the gate once you stop inside the garage. Once dressed up in
a police uniform, drive the Cheetah to the Pay'n'Spray in order to get
a totally restored getaway car. Now go to the WEST entrance of the mall.
This will make your getaway much easier. Once the bomb goes off, shake
a leg out the mall, making sure Lance is right behind you when you use
the exit. Now get into the Cheetah, drive South down the lawn and use
the exit at the end to get onto the road. This will give you a headstart.
Now make it to the Pay'n'Spray ASAP, but take care in avoiding the cops
and the Feds. If they hit you just once, you are likely to fall prey to
the FBI trucks, which will very soon make a mess out of your getaway car.
If they pull alongside you, slam on the breaks and let them spin around
in front of you before continuing. Once in the Pay'n'Spray, you can cruise
to the Vercetti Estate and end the mission.
Reward: Vercetti Estate will now yield money.
(This mission is enabled once you complete the "Cap the Collector"
mission at the Print Works).
Min gun is a must here! Once the video sequence is over, select the mini
gun and run to the big staircase. Don't run down the stairs. , but stay
on the second floor and position yourself slightly left of the staircase
behind the railing. Now simply waste whoever comes running in. After a
certain amount of time, Lance will pop in. Waste him quickly, otherwise
you'll have to pursue him to the roof. Now repeat the splatterfest until
Sonny pops up. Hurry up and waste Sonny, because he's adept on the Ruger
assault rifle, meaning that he'll hit you with every shot he fires. You
can die very shortly if you just stand there watching Sonny fire at you
or try to dodge his bullets.
Reward: All your henchmen in the city will now pack sub-machine
guns instead of pistols. A Hunter is now available either at the Army
Base or at the Helipad on the very South edge of Ocean Beach (if the Army
base "slot" is already occupied).
