The annoying thing here is that people run away from you once you've
extinguished their car. Ridiculous and not too prudent, one would say.
Most of the time, the last car of the bunch will also try to drive away
once you've extinguished the other car(s) in the accident. I therefore
have the following tips for you:
- Park your fire truck so that one (or more) cars can't get away easily.
I prefer to park right in front of one of the cars. There's no way on
earth a BMW will push a twenty tonne fire truck out of the way.
- Always extinguish one car at a time. Then take care of the people
that get out and run away. The other cars in the crash will not move
on, unless it's the last one.
- If the cars on fire are "parked" inconveniently for you,
slam into one or more of them in order to scatter the wrecks a little
more. The cars are on fire anyway, and if there's one vehicle in Vice
City that can take the rough stuff, it's the fire engine!
- It's always easier for you to turn your water turret than to turn
your fire truck! You can even elevate or lower it, if necessary.
- Never switch your attention to someone (or something) else before
your current target is put out.
- Knocking people over with the water beam is very handy, so try to
do this at all times. Sometimes, this is more easily done by sweeping
your water beam accross the ground rather than just keep spraying in
the same direction.
Reward: After level 12, you're completely fireproof (very handy
when doing molotov cocktail rampages).
